Meet Lizzy, the Person Behind CoMo Pet Care
When you book CoMo Pet Care, you get me. As your pet sitter in Columbia, MO, I am the one at every walk, every drop-in visit, and every overnight stay, caring for your pet like they are my own.
Call or text me at (573) 206-9497.
How CoMo Pet Care Started
I spent six years caring for pets through Rover, and I loved every minute of it. Then one day, everything stopped. While I was pet sitting for two pit bulls, I was in a car accident.
After the accident, I went back to their house. When I looked at those two dogs, waiting for me like nothing had changed, I realized this was what I wanted to build my life around. So I got to work and bought my first website that same day.
Later, I moved away from Rover to give my clients something an app cannot: a premium, personal experience with one person who knows your pet, your home, and your routine.
My Shepherd, My Why
My German Shepherd is five years old, and I adopted her from the Humane Society when she was eight weeks old. She came in with her brother and her mom, so I had to choose between her and her brother.
In the end, I chose her, and she is my whole world. Honestly, I do not know what I would do without her.
That is also how I think about every pet I care for. Your dog or cat is someone’s whole world, and I treat them that way.
I Know Your Pet's Whole Story
I don’t just show up, feed and leave. I get to know you and your pet: the new puppy you’re house-training, the senior dog who’s slowing down, the trip you’re nervous about, the treat she only gets on Fridays. When something changes, I notice, because I’m the one who’s there every time.
- You text me, not a front desk. One relationship, start to finish.
- I remember. Your pet’s quirks, fears, favorite spots and routines carry over from visit to visit, and so does what’s going on in your life.
What You Can Expect From Me
The Same Face Every Visit

Updates After Every Visit
You get photo and text updates after every visit, so you are never left wondering how your pet is doing.
A Plan Before Anything Happens
Every client fills out a detailed care form covering your pet’s needs and emergency information, so I know exactly what to do.

I Live Where I Work
I live in The Brooks, and my parents live in Old Hawthorne. The Vineyards is just minutes away.
Focusing on these neighborhoods is a promise: I am close by, I know the streets your dog walks, and your pet’s visits stay on schedule. Beyond these neighborhoods, I also serve the rest of Columbia, MO.
Trusted by Pet Brands
Pet brands partner with me to show their products with real pets in real homes, including Solid Gold, Natural Dog Company, Rexipets, Paws & Pals, Chew + Heal, and SafeShock. Because I stay close to the products pets actually use, I know what is out there and what works.
In addition, I write about pet care. For example, I created The CoMo Pet Care Enrichment Starter, and I publish practical guides on the CoMo Pet Care blog, from enrichment and exercise to preparing your pet for a sitter.
